BCC & SCC Removal
I am pleased to offer a private Basal Cell Carcinoma & Squamous Cell Carcinoma excision to customers who want to have their condition treated without delay and with the least cosmetic damage possible. The NHS offers this procedure, but unfortunately there is a significant waiting list for such treatments meaning that you could be delayed by months.
Usually I can carry out BCC or SCC excision on a day-case basis, though Squamous cells carcinomas often require removal of a deeper volume of tissue than BCCs and therefore make take slightly longer to complete.
Rest assured, my experience with BBC and SCC removal means that I always take the greatest care to carry out a complete and efficient excision. I also work hard to ensure that trauma and scarring are kept to an absolute minimum.

Scar Revision
Scars revision surgery is usually needed for scars that look unsightly or cause unpleasant symptoms. Usually revision is required for thick scars known as hypertrophic scars or for thick, large, round scars that have grown beyond the original scar-line, which are known as a keloid scars. Scar revision surgery aims to make them less noticeable.
Non-surgical revision such as advanced make-up works well for small scars, but there are treatments for thick scars, some of which involve steroid injections. A course of steroid injections can soften, thin and fade scar tissue and are ideal for less bulky scars. Other non-surgical treatments include the use of botulinum toxin.
Surgical methods aim to reduce the size and bulk of keloids by removing a significant part of the keloid then injecting steroid into the remaining tissue. Alternatively, pressure therapy e.g. a pressure clip on an earlobe keloid can aid in reducing the chance of recurrence of the keloid.

Botulinum Toxin Therapy
Botulinum toxin therapy, or Botox as it is commonly known, can be used as a treatment for a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions.
In the context of cosmetic procedures, it can be administered using a fine-needled syringe, acting as a muscle relaxant to prevent excessive wrinkling from showing on your face. It can also be used to reduce excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) where it has become a problem.
As a temporary therapy, to maintain results, Botulinum should be repeated every 3 -4 months.

Filler Therapy
Filler therapies aim to minimise wrinkles and lines in the face to restore a youthful look to the face. Utilising gels which may be composed of synthetic polymer gels or natural long-chain polysaccharides injected underneath the skin, leave your face looking rejuvenated and younger. Sometimes referred to as a non-surgical face-lift, fillers can quickly eliminate many of the signs of ageing skin and restore confidence with less trauma and cost than cosmetic surgery.

Birthmark Surgery
Birthmarks caused by a larger number of pigment producing cells. They are usually a shade of brown or red and may be found anywhere on the body. Birthmarks are often visible at birth, though sometimes they appear during the first year of life.
While most birthmarks are flat, some become thickened and hairy. The best type of treatment for a birthmark will depend on the type and location. Birthmarks which are suitable for surgical excision, may be totally removed, though any type of surgery will leave a scar.
Please get in touch for your initial consultation so that we can assess your birthmark and discuss your needs.

Surgery Duration: 30 minutes or more, case dependent.
Anaesthesia: Local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic, depending on case.

Serial Excision of Birthmarks
Birthmarks comprise of skin with an excess of pigment producing cells. Birthmarks vary in size and colour and while some can be improved with minor surgery, I sometimes prefer to utilise a technique called serial excision in order to minimise surgical scars.
Using this approach, the birthmark is removed over a series of surgeries. Each surgery removes the centre of the birthmark, including the scar at the centre from the previous surgery. Working in this way, the birthmark is removed with the smallest possible scar at the end of the series.
Please get in touch for your initial consultation so that we can assess your birthmark and discuss your needs.

Tattoo Excision & Surgery
The pigments used in tattoos are designed to create a permanent mark on the skin. Unfortunately, some of our clients have found that they no longer want their tattoo. Whatever the reason for wanting to remove a tattoo, there are several types of treatment available from laser removal to surgical excision, the procedure that I offer.
Some tattoos respond well to laser removal, others do not and in those cases, I can offer surgical excision of your tattoo. Whether carrying out a small one-off excision of a small tattoo, or serial excision of a larger tattoo, you are in safe hands with me at our state of the art facilities.
Please get in touch for your initial consultation so that we can assess your tattoo and discuss the right procedure for you.
